Club Mania hits St Helens Primary School!

We would like to let you all know about the wonderful clubs and opportunities available for pupils of St Helens Primary School for the Spring Term – from coding club to gymnastic club.
It is your choice which ones you go to!

On Monday, Art Club is available to Key Stage 2 pupils (Year 3 – Year 6). Mrs McDougal runs it. Children paint, draw and design different things.
Kaiden really enjoys it, he said “I like that Mrs McDougal doesn’t mind how I create and make things.”
Tilly R said, “I like that each term the theme changes, so when it’s spring we make things that are linked to spring time.” Everybody enjoys this club!

On Tuesday and Thursday, Mrs Shenton (a specialist PE teacher) comes in to run gymnastics club for Key Stage 2 on Tuesday and Key Stage 1 on a Thursday. The PE council (Tilly, Ollie, Mitch and Ella) help to support the younger ones during their club.

On a Wednesday, there is Craft Club with Miss Loader, Mrs Howells and Mrs Walker. We have made pin cushions, pillows, bags, wall hangings and hats. We can be as creative as we like with our designs!

On a Wednesday, Mr Hammerton runs the computer coding club. We learn about different types of coding and create algorithms and de-bug them if they go wrong. He sets us challenges to try and complete at home as well as during the club.
