Profile: Having spent my career in education as teacher, headteacher and school improvement officer, it was always an intention, on retirement, to give something back to a profession that had provided  fulfillment and enjoyment.  It was also important to find a means of supporting the local community and so, when St Helens Primary approached me to be a governor in 2015 I was pleased to accept.
I have also been able to offer my educational experience to support schools in the Caribbean and in The Gambia but it is St Helens that remains at the forefront of my commitment.
